The Wentworth Fire & Rescue Department provides fire protection and First Responder services to Wentworth Township, the Town of Wentworth and two-thirds of Rutland Township. Included in this district is Dakota Ethanol, a 90 million gallon ethanol plant. The fire department also provides services to the East side of Lake Madison and Round Lake.
The department has eight vehicles to respond to fire and medical emergencies. Twenty men and women are active members, responding to the needs of the district.
The members meet every third Monday and train the fourth Monday of each month. New members are welcome to join the department by contacting Terry Reck at 605-270-6262.
